18 Semi-permanent Buildings in Sunter Lake Area Dismantled

236 joint personnel have dismantled 18 semi-permanent stalls in Sunter Lake area, North Jakarta, Friday (1/19). These officers deployed were from Satpol PP, Water Resources Sub-dept., Bina Marga Sub-dept., Transportation Sub-dept., army, police, PPSU, etc.

Before doing this, we had held socialization that saying the place to be relocated to a more decent place

North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Junaedi said those stalls were located on west side of Sunter Lake. The owner will be relocated to the south of the lake. It is done, as the land would be transformed into a plaza with park, jogging track and garden light.

"Before doing this, we had held socialization that saying the place to be relocated to a more decent place," he told.

He assessed, the arrangement is done in preparation for the Sunter Lake Festival in the upcoming February. 

"Satpol PP and PPSU officers also help to clean up and move the peddlers' belongings," he told.

North Jakarta KUKMP Sub-dept. Head, Arfian stated, all peddlers are relocated to temporary shelters. They can still sell as usual while waiting for the plaza is completed. Fund for plaza project is from the cooperative party through corporate social responsibility (CSR)

"It is targeted to be done within one month," he uttered.
